A Pamplin undergrad degree requires 125 credits

Computer Science is 123.

That's less than 16 credits per semester over 8 semesters. Other than engineering and architecture, I think you'll find that's the norm for VT undergrad degrees.

I did 139 credits and got an engineering degree in 4 years...I think the requirement was 136 and it was designed to be 4 years. It now requires 128 credits ad the curriculum is clearly laid out to be 4 years.

My daughter is currently in the final year of 4 in a program designed to be just that...as are most degrees at her school...as they are at countless others.

I can absolutely assume that 4 years remains the common design.
