It is really simple.


We likely lose 3 our of our 4 best players (Aluma, Murphy, likely Mutts) all of whom are seniors or might as well be seniors with tons of experience. Given the day an age, we likely lose at least one other player to the portal (my guess is Maddox, maybe and/or Ojiako). Possible roster:

5 Ojiako / Kidd / Haynes
4 N'Guessan
3 Alleyne / Maddox
2 Cattoor
1 Rice / Pedulla

Bench:
Collins (do we expect him to play as a freshman?)
Wessler (everything I have read is year 3 at the earliest)

So Mike Young needs two starting ACC caliber players from the portal. Then he needs another one or two players to ensure that we have any depth at all; otherwise it will be another year of 5 starters playing 30+ minutes a night. I'm not at all hopeful for next year.
