Will pointed this out last night (here, on Twitter?). Everyone needs to go


back and look at the 2005-2006 team. Go up to the top of this page, click basketball, click Past VT Basketball Seasons, then scroll down to Seth Greenberg's tenure. His third year, he had Jamon Gordon, Zabian Dowdell and Coleman Collins as Juniors. Deron Washington as a Sophomore, and AD Vasallo (who tipped a ball in the wrong basket to lose to Bowling Green the 2nd game of that season).

They went 14-16, 4-12 in the ACC with a roster that had no business losing that many games. If you clicked on the Schedule/Results link, you will see a half court buzzer beater loss, and a billion games lost by 6 pts or less in the conference. That team went on the next year to a 22-12 record, finished 3rd in the ACC and made a second round appearance in the NCAAT against S. Illinois. Sometime you have bad/unlucky years. This year isn't even over yet, and people are calling for the ADs head because the team is currently .500? Give me a break.
