I know someone taking 5K IU/day for osteoarthritis and has to test blood
He's testing vitamin D levels as it builds up in the liver and can become toxic. I've taken it a couple of times for bursitis at 10K/day and stopped at or before the recommended maximum 7 days. Like any NSAID, they treat the symptom, not the disease. Stretching PT will reduce the need for all these things to treat arthritis and tendonitis.
EDIT: My other former neighbor takes 4K a day for osteoarthritis as prescribed by her doctor. She doesn't have to monitor her vitamin D levels as 4K is the recommended amount now. [Post edited by lchoro at 01/12/2022 4:38PM]
