I'm LADA, so fully insulin dependent with a continuous glucose monitor.


I have found that fat intake has the greatest impact on the insulin:carbohydrate ratio. When I eat a low-fat diet, insulin simply works better (ie is more efficient). At 45 calories to 85 calories (large orange), eating oranges is likely not the culprit in weight gain.
