Wonder how much he got paid, by whom, to extend the contract out SIXTEEN YEARS at less than 3% per year?

At the time, Emmert took a victory lap in the media, saying that uncertainties in the “evolving media landscape” led to the extension.

Yikes. It's not about the media landscape, Mr. Emmert. It's about your product, which EVERYONE wants. Doesn't matter what happens to the "media landscape," someone will pay big bucks for your product. I don't know jack about business, but I know *that.*
