My wife is also a teacher.

While our kids are now grown, she said she would go nuts trying to teach, ensure our kids got an education, and remained healthy. She has an elderly mom, and hasn't mentioned anything about how to handle upcoming holidays or family events.

My MIL only goes to the grocery store, bank and hair salon. She avoids restaurants.

We have a pretty close family and my nephew just had a child. This the first great grandchild for my MIL. So far, we are strictly enforcing a 6' rule for the child and great grandmother. Maybe that will be the thing going forward, until the pandemic subsides.
