and I'm not into anti-government bashing, (well, I am but, for sake of argument...) but it's just human nature to sit on your butts and Americans tend to recognize that, we try to push things to business because you really do want competitive markets to keep everyone fresh.

Sometimes that sclerotic doesn't mean someone isn't working hard, just doing the wrong thing because, you know, it's the hammer they know, like PhD's doing papers. Yeah, so for the Dept of Education you've got ten different papers on how to improve education, well pick one and try it, don't argue it forever. The problem with this is they're trying to create educational silver bullets when in fact, there's no easy way around it, it's the elbow grease in the classroom. Boy am I going to get into trouble for bringing this up. I'm leaving now.
