Technical analysis is fascinating.

I started dabbling with it a couple years ago and was communicating with a guy through an online forum about learning the basics. At first, it didn't make any sense to me, because it seemed to completely ignore the human emotion part of investing. Fundamental analysis seemed much more natural to me.
But then I started to see that the first people to react are generally the big investors that steer the momentum up or down, and they are the ones using technical analysis to make their decisions (or, more likely they are using AI programmed to automate the decisions). So essentially it's like seeing "behind the curtain" and getting a glimpse at the formula many people are using to decide when to buy and when to sell.

I never had the time to really get good at it, and have since kind of taken a break from investing much in individual stocks, but I do want to start working on it again at some point. It is definitely interesting.
