top-loading GE (no agitator). The Samsung would get clogged frequently and she'd have to drain it. It also had a bit of an odor to it so she'd have to use of one those HE cleaning packets a lot. The top-loader has given no problems to date and we've had it about 18 months. Although, I will say that the water use has increased with the top loader. It's still not as much as the old style top loaders, but it's less water efficient than the front loader.
