The ignorance is the failure to recognize the variety of factors including the number and makeup of the conference schools, their relative performance and strength at the time, the existing contractual obligations, etc., etc., and the dispute is the actual amount of weight to allocate to the various factors as opposed to attributing it solely to incompetence, negligence or worse.

As for little Chucky(you?) or you(his twin by a different mother) being right on anything, that message gets drowned out by failure to acknowledge other contributing factors and the inability to intelligently defend the position when actually challenged. Just so we are clear, the debate has never been that Swofford did not make mistakes(he did) or that he could not have done some things differently(he could). The debate, now and then, involves the weighting of ALL the factors involved rather than an incessant desire to run down the league and its leadership. It also involves the inability to make the point and move on versus feeling the need to repeat it over and over and over and over........
