I have no idea what that 12 schools being paid for 10 is even a thing.

Look, when those two left, the folks who owned those contracts had every right to renegotiate. And THAT's what they did and they realized that those two schools actually added crap to the product. Kudos for Big12 leadership for driving that point home and renegotiating that contract well.

I am fairly certain if the ACC lost Wake and BC, its leadership would be able to negotiate a similar deal, even though we all know Wake and BC offer nothing. You think ESPN really wants to show Clemson versus Wake instead of Clemson versus a random Coastal team?
