Rice is one I've been watching if the ACC looks at Texas.

Rice is a top 20 academic institution. The ACC only has 2 of them at this point, Duke and Notre Dame. If the ACC wants to boost the academic reputation of the league more than it currently is, Rice would do it. Rice also has a $5.3 Billion endowment. That's in the range of UVA at $5.8 Billion. So they have money.

They could be like Miami because of all the football talent close to Houston, TX. They have a good size stadium, and they have been spending recently a lot of money on Athletics Facilities. They have renovated the Foodball Stadium, build a Football Performance Center, upgraded their soccer stadium, track and field complex, and baseball stadium. The Baseball Stadium is already very nice.

If the ACC wants access to Houston, Rice could be a fit for our league. A combination with the Texas Longhorns could make it possible. Same with TCU in Dallas. The ACC shouldn't take them stand alone, but in a package deal it could work.
