Sure the ACC does.


It's the balance of power between ESPN and Fox. There reaches a point where you can have too many in the league good at the same thing. The name of the game is to get to the CFP and Win Championships. If you reach a point where all of the football powers are bottle necked in the same league that only gets 1, then you reach a situation of diminishing return.

Geographically, the SEC already has the State of Texas in their footprint. Adding Texas Longhorns doesn't enhance that very much. It does a little, but not immensely. But they would take Texas and Oklahoma to keep the B1G out of Texas and the borders of Texas. ESPN will be complicit. They may allow the PAC 12 thing or the ACC thing. The PAC 12 thing will have to benefit ESPN. I'm just saying Texas will want to be with its rivals.
