We bought land and built in Arlington

We think we definitely came out ahead with what we got compared to buying something already built.

We had a great builder (small company, fantastic quality and prices) and an awesome lender and title company. We used a construction to permanent loan to purchase the land and building costs, and then transition to a regular mortgage once we occupied the house.

I'd be more than happy to share our experience and the company names; we'd definitely use them all again. Let me know if you'd like to talk more off the board.
