Depends on the local market but if you are your own contractor and you can


do some of the work (kitchen and bath cabinets and fixtures, plumbing, electrical runs, etc) you can save a ton.

Contractors get, what, 20% or something? Save that off the top plus thousands in your own labor. Some of those items are high dollar, easy and not too time consuming.
