I agree with you about basketball and non-revenue programs.


However, I am not sure UConn's football program would have improved that much being in the ACC. I say that because UConn torn down Memorial Stadium which was on campus so it could build the $40 million Uconn Basketball Champions Center. Then it allowed the state to build its new stadium, Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field, in East Hartford. Not only is it approximately 25 miles from campus, but it isn't even in East Hartford. It is out in the middle of nowhere (technically next to Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Club, Inc.). Plus, Connecticut residence tend to be more NFL fans than college football fans.
