I believe there would be a decent bump in attendance if invited to the ACC. If you look back to the years we were in the Big East we averaged over 30K every year. We also fielded competitive teams. Then we had 3 years of a bad coaching hire (Paul Pasqualoni) that ran the product into the ground. Combine that with playing schools you have no rivalry with (Tulane, Tulsa, etc) and it was a tough ticket to sell. The ACC would bring back those rivals like BC & Syracuse, it would be closer to our competition so they could travel to games and lastly, the team is finally on an upswing. All of those factors I believe would get us back into the mid 30's for attendance, if not higher. That would be an over 25% increase. We've got Virginia and Syracuse on our home schedule this year so we'll see then whether the ACC is a draw or not.
