Present requirement is only 15,000 paid attendence....

minimum over a rolling 2 year period for FBS members. That means a school has to at least draw 15,000 paid fans every other year,

"Average at least 15,000 in actual or paid attendance for all home football contests over a rolling two-year period." [Bylaw 20.9.9.3]

In 2002, the NCAA dropped the 30,000 seat capacity for FBS (D-1) football stadiums.

Maybe the Power 5 will require that all member schools have a minimum 40,000 seat capacity stadium one day with a minimum paid attendance of 30,000 over a rolling 2 year period? That would put some pressure on a few P-5 members but I would personally welcome that change. The ACC would be hit hardest by the change but I feel it would greatly benefit ACC football down the road.
