High schools that have soccer and lacrosse have had dwindling participation

in football for years. Schools that do not have soccer and lacrosse have not had siginificant drops - yet. The schools that do not have soccer and lacrosse tend to be in rural communities, and football is one of the primary local events that bring people together.

As you say though, the suburban areas are starting to look down on football participation.
