did you know that the athletes don't get paid if they play in the league? The way I found that info out is one of the PBS stations (yes, I know hard to believe) was airing a replay of last year's All Ireland Final. It was mentioned during either the pregame or ingame coverage. According to the TV guide, it appeared that same station aired the match live earlier in the day.

Since it appears PBS stations are willing to broadcast sporting events, I wonder if at some point PBS stations will be used as alternative/secondary ways to broadcast collegiate sporting events? If they are already doing it now, then I wonder if it could become a more regular basis for some regions of the US.
