You missed my point

Even if you assume the the authorities will only use the backdoor for good and always go through the proper channels and obtain warrents, you've still weakened encryption as a whole. The backdoor you create for the good guys WILL be found and exploited by the bad guys. It's not a matter of if. It's a matter of when.
