Greg Swaim was a big one complaining about missing on Louisville.

I don't remember him complaining about WVU as much as complaining about missing out on Louisville. The Big XII had the opportunity to take both and passed. That was well before Maryland left the ACC. There are probably others now though for geographic reasons. WVU isn't close to the Big XII footprint.

When the ACC added Syracuse and Pitt I was wanting the ACC to stay with the desire to only invite top 100 academic schools. Now that Louisville is here, I want WVU. It just makes the most sense for WVU and for the ACC. I don't know how to pull that off now after WVU and the Big XII spent so much money buying out the Big East and Gordon Gee being at WVU, who most of the ACC doesn't respect. But maybe some day it will work out.
