WVU's distance East is an issue for the Big XII.

As Trammel states, they should not have passed on Pittsburgh and Louisville when taking WVU. Taking WVU alone creates an island. There isn't anyone left that helps that and will also pay for itself. I didn't read that the Big XII is unhappy with WVU, but they are unhappy that there are no good candidates in the geographic vicinity of WVU left available.

Now adding BYU or Colorado State create a league too spread out. Cincinnati or UConn don't pay for themselves. I don't quite get why they want to avoid Florida.

My personal opinion is that WVU belongs in our league, the ACC, and that the Big XII should be free to go get BYU, Colorado State, and New Mexico. But we're still in a holding pattern with Notre Dame.

If Notre Dame finally joins they will get to recommend candidates. Cincinnati and Navy would come back into play as options for the ACC. If Cincinnati is gone to the Big XII by then, so be it. The ACC has other eastern options.
