The original post mentioned OU specifically. OU has so much talent,


experience and elite coaching, they are probably ready for all situations regardless of the details of their schedule.

In general, I think playing a tough schedule helps prepare you for the post-season. getting a little more specific (but not too specific), I think playing a mixture of some tough single games and some tough series will help better prepare most teams for the post-season (than not playing a mixture of some tough single games and some tough series). It is just my opinion, and I have no empirical data to support it.
