I took that stuff religiously one summer during college...


...when I was working out a lot. I definitely got stronger, but think it actually worked against me to some extent - it seemed to prevent me from ever getting sore/tired from lifting weights, so I would work out for a couple hours, 5-6 days a week. I think I never really let my muscles recover, so I didn't build as much muscle mass as I had hoped. I think I also did some short-term damage from overuse. The following semester at VT, I remember having to take a physics exam in McBryde 100 with both my arms locked at 90-degree angles because my biceps/forearms were so inflamed. I think I finally overdid it and really caused a lot of muscle/joint inflammation. For 3 or 4 days, it was excruciating to straighten my arms.
