From an out of sight of mind standpoint, I do agree with you since I'm not
a fan of Danny Boy. However, from a logistical standpoint, having only 1 European team doesn't make sense given the NFL's regular season schedule. Specifically I'm referring to the possibility of a team playing on Sunday and then having to play its next game on Thursday. The NFL can try to make all the adjustments to the travel schedule it wants to ensure a team, either the London team or another team, isn't at a disadvantage. However, at some point that London team will have to play at a team in the western half of the US and then return home for a home game the following week. Traveling alone may cost the London team 2 days each week when factoring in jet lag and the NFL's "day off" during the season is typically Tuesday. Hence why I said that that the NFL will have to add additional European teams if it wants a team in London. Creating 2 European divisions may be the only way the NFL can expand into Europe and reduce the impact of the travel issues.
