This recruiting class and last year's is going to tell the tale

We've seen MY sign some high profile guys who have transferred, the first class is really a throwaway in my mind as it was cobbled together from guys who hadn't signed by the summer before the season.

These last 2 years will either put us on a consistent NCAAT trajectory or will propel us to mid-table ACC mediocrity.

2021 - Pedulla, Kidd, Haynes
2022 - Rice, Collins, Wessler, Buchanan

I don't think MY is going to thrive on plugging in a bunch of transfers, Mutts is the only guy who truly transferred in and has had success. I don't count Aluma and Murphy as they have only ever played in MY's system and Kidd is basically a recruit. Diarra flopped, Pemsl rarely played, and the USF guy left before getting here.

Rice is the best player we've signed since NAW, Collins is the most athletic guard we've signed since Hill, Pedulla clearly has the chops, Wessler is the first true 5 we've signed in decades, and Buchanan at the very least has the athleticism and size to be a force on the boards.
