I'm old school...I say keep your current system.


It "hurts" more to fork over cash to your parents as payment for something they bought on your behalf. Simply charging something to a card feels more removed from the transaction, which is how many adults get into huge credit card debt. I say keep doing what you're doing so your daughter will hopefully learn to be frugal.
