Is this my solution? Wires from lights: Connect ground and black to switch


do not connect white (yet).

From outlet to switch - Connect black and ground to switch.

At Switch: Wire nut the white from the outlet and lights, pigtail them to switch. Is that my move? Am I Tesla? (I really hope so, otherwise I'd feel like an idiot for posting this).
