To (mis)quote the movie Wall Street.

Animosity, for the lack of a better term, is good.

If it fixes our problems, then some increased Animosity (among the fanbases) might be a good thing.

I'd be for this idea (allowing ND a way into the ACC championship game), given some reasonable guard rails and conditions. Things like, they could not replace a team they lost to, they would have to be ranked higher than all but one ACC team, they could not replace a top 10 team, etc. If we went division-less, and we started counting ND games in our conference standings (you would also have to add a ND game for this, I believe), I think it would be a positive.

At that point, the ACC could say that ND is for all intents and purposes an ACC team, and ND could say they were still independent (with access to a conference championship). If we hated them more for it, then we would just benefit from more ticket sales and viewers.
