We have about 20 returning players with experience. A handful are legit ACC starters. The other 15+ will provide depth and competition for roles.

We have a solid recruiting class coming in, about the same ranking as the old 10-win-a-year days.

Most importantly, we have the portal. I'll bet we get 5-8 legit ACC players this year. We should get that many or more in future years. It looks like we already got a serviceable quarterback.

In the current era, a program can turn around very quickly. If this staff is who we think they are, two years is possible and three is reasonable. Next year is going to be tough, though.

This is not your father's college football. Things can change very quickly. No reason to let animosity toward the last staff color your view of the future.

On the other hand, this staff may not be successful either. College football is hard.
