Here is his 2018 list - Les Miles and Manny Diaz both get A's!


Ryan Day A (hard to argue with that)
Les Miles A (Fired for various reasons following a winless 2020)
Manny Diaz A (LOL - and even more of an LOL is this was rating him as a Temple hire)
Hugh Freeze A (hard to argue with that)
Jake Spavital Texas St A (dumpster fire is still a dumpster fire)
Mel Tucker Colorado B+ (left after one year to go to Michigan St, where he has been great)
Matt Wells TTU B+ (ran the program into the ground, fired after 3 years)
Mike Locksley UMD B+ (Better than us, that's for sure)
Eli Drinkwitz App St B+ (A+ coach for one season, then left for Missouri)
Scott Satterfield B (Mediocre program is still mediocre)
Geoff Collins B (I had to look to see if he had been fired yet)
Will Healy Charlotte B (Average program is still average)
Mack Brown B- (took a dumpster fire and made it not a dumpster fire, so sure)
Jim McElwain CMU B- (Absolutely an A+ coach, tremendous turnaround at CMU)
Mike Houston ECU C+ (Took over a perennially 4-win program and improved them slightly)
Chris Klieman KSU C+ (Basically performed just as well as Bill Snyder has, not a bad hire)
Tyson Helton WKU C (Took over a horrible team and took them to three bowls)
Walt Bell UMass C (Two wins in three seasons)
Tom Arth Akron C (Three wins in three seasons)
Scot Loeffer BGSU C- (Slight improvement over his predecessor, but still a bad team)
Gary Anderson USU F (Fired in his second year)
