I've looked at two years of the VA top 25 and 20 years of Tech recruits.


The success of Tech's program will depend on the ability to recruit the state of VA so that's why I'm focusing on VA. Top 5 recruits are nice but Tech's only recruited FOUR in the last twenty years. I've been following recruiting for 25 years and I know it's BS. The portal has also altered the recruiting landscape.

Out of the 2015 top 25, I found that 45% of the 11 four stars contributed and 77% of the 13 three stars contributed. Out of the 2014 top 25, 43% of the 7 four stars contributed and 80% of the 15 three stars contributed. After looking over twenty of Tech recruits, I found a roughly 40% attrition rate for both the three and four star recruits.
