I believe there are only 35 or so 5 star players per year


I agree that 5 star players are generally more reliable. Tech's had four of them over the last twenty years and all of them have been superior athletes. Marcus Vick was a 5* so there is that. There are only about 35 or so 5 star players per year but there are many more three and four star players. A team has to be built around three and four star players.

I'm just focusing on the top 25 in VA and seeing how the three and four star prospects fared on the field. On the 2015 top 25 list, 45% of the four stars contributed and 77% of the 3 stars contributed. On the 2014 top 25 list, 43% of the four stars contributed and 80% of the 3 stars contributed.
