Based on the DMV website it is unclear (shocker, right?). It says ...


approaching the bus from any direction with no distinction as to what street you are on. My thought is always err on the side of caution when it comes to kids and buses because they are all staring at their phones and not paying attention to cars.

Legally I think you are right but three minutes out of my day is no big deal, particularly when entertained by the beyotch behind me.
