The quick answer is no, but sort of

so they were going to build a facility w/8 indoor tennis courts and 8 outdoor tennis courts but the wording of the permissions for this facility included pickleball and I can't see that not happening down the road. I mean, after all you just need to paint lines on a tennis court and voila.

Last night was the only involvement I've had with any of this, I just showed up for them. I've kinda impressed with myself how much I paid attention to all of these, there are threads and nuances going in a lot of different directions. Part of the discussion was "what else"? would be allowed there and people jumped on the "parties and celebrations" kinda stuff and the staff had to tell everyone this meant in association with tennis, eg, having a tournament being catered, you just get into layers of legalism. (weddings came up. Weddings at a tennis facility?) So this woman read a long list of things that would be allowed and one was pickleball.

Yeah, just knowing the territory these days, I'm pretty sure pickleball would have happened.
