Was he planning on getting?

Installing a new system program wide....with a QB that also doesn't know it. Maybe staying that extra year would have paid dividends. Certainly from a program aspect...but I think he is drafted with year 2 success.

Many college offenses are designed pretty simplistic - simple one and two read and bail - whether its run or checkdown. No checking back, etc. Taking the vast majority of high school players and trying to get them to cycle multiple reads, etc. is a long process. Hell, most of the top tier QB drafted yearly struggle for at least the first year, if not more; "waiting for the game to slow down"

Always really liked Jerod - wish he would have stayed.
