I want the ACC to continue to exist - to win

Have they made mistakes? sure. However, if ND did/does anything (backing a ridiculous expanded playoff that helps the rich get richer, without initial ACC input in the plan no less) that could accelerate the demise of the ACC, then you're right I don't want them to win that issue.

If ND giving up independence and their special rules/privileges makes the ACC survive - then yes, I want that to happen as well. Whether that's considered a win or loss to ND isn't my concern - as there are lots of fans, even some ND fans, that would consider it a win for ND. No one would consider the disintegration of the ACC a win for WF football.

I didn't say you mentioned ND's survival - no one mentioned their survival in big time football was in jeopardy, that's a given - but the ACC's could be. Don't equate the "damage" to ND being in a conference to the damage that would be done to a WF or Duke football should the ACC disintegrate - that's survival. Clemson, FSU and hopefully VT types would survive.

Independence =/= survival, regardless of the semantics that many ND fans think it is.
