What's this?

There is too much opposition to 12 now

I think it ultimately goes to 8 with perhaps only 5 Conference Champs now that the Big 12 will likely take the best of the rest. It is now the ACC's #1 Priority now to ensure Notre Dame is not left a reason to not take a ACC membership when Realignment/Playoffs/Alliance is settled. I think Phillips will support Rose Bowl and any other potential sticking points and get the Big 10 and PAC to support whatever is needed to ensure ND joins our conference. This possibly includes more favorable matchups for ND in alliance scheduling.
