But as far as extra weeks of play is concerned, there is no difference between 12 games and 16. Bringing in 16 teams has a better chance of passing. The only party that might not vote for it is Notre Dame, because, as you can see in my example, they have to basically land in the top ten to get in and they seldom do that. Now, of course, the voting would be different if the voters knew what was at stake come season end. So the rankings 2019 might not hold for a change in the system even with the same teams and results in place.
