I believe the more accurate DI number now is 358 with the following schools


transitioning from either DII or DIII.

DII
California Baptist University (non-FCS)
University of North Alabama (FCS)
Merrimack College (FCS)
Bellarmine University (non-FCS)
University of Californa San Diego (non-FCS)
Dixie State University (FCS)...BTW located in UT
Tarleton State University (FCS)

DIII
University of St. Thomas (FCS)

It is worth noting that University of Hartford (non-FCS) is in the process of transitioning from DI to DIII. Also, there are 3 DII schools with tentative plans to transition to DI, but I don't think a definitive date has been established yet.

Augustana University (FCS)
Kentucky State University (FCS and HBCU)
Virginia State University (FCS and HBCU)
