I honestly can't say why I am not as interested


I thought it was because we went from a really good program to a middle of the pack team, but I'd have to say I just got old. My perspective has changed, and sports just aren't as important to me as they used to be. With that said I do think some are deluding themselves on the "good old days" before the NIL stuff.

The schools have been about making money on football for most of my adult life, the coaches have always been about making more and advancing, and while I assume the players do enjoy playing, I'm also sure getting to the next level was always the primary goal of many. So I guess it was never this innocent game that many seem to think that it was. It was always just a business IMO.
