industries there is. The NFL has also done a great job of making sure money doesnt create haves and have-nots like baseball. It is inevitable that you have to have a solid QB to be successful and that is just a function of luck since there are really 10-15 teams with an inarguably good QB. But you are correct the NFL in some ways is the Amazon of its industry. If there is any way it is being corrupted it is the efforts to perfect it (i.e. instant replay, targeting, QB protections, etc).

CFB is IMO risking its life by potentially alienating a significant part of the fan pool by forgetting the reason many people prefer it or are so passionate about it. For many more people it has been accessible and the fans have closer affiliations with teams due to both geography and/or alumni status. I am not a big city guy so choosing an NFL team to like is fairly random and hard to become too passionate about it (until a VT guy gets on the team). It is hard to tell if my feelings would change if VT were able to break into the group of relevant teams again but evidence for that doesnt currently exist (speaking both of our team and the conference situation). It would definitely be a good time to break back into the top 15 for a couple years to make sure we are on the map the power grabbers are looking at.
