There are a couple reasons I have lost interest in the game


1. I have trouble be interested in watching a game between a school, who is really closer to being a pro team, compete against another team that appears to be closer to the spirit of being a "college team."

2. My interest in college football changed when I was student at VT. Prior to college, I enjoyed watching any colleges play a sport because I was not really vested in them. Whereas after college, I had a vested interest in watching VT play and I had trouble watching 2 teams play when I wasn't vested (at least emotionally) with either team.

3. Much of the attention during the regular season is on the Playoffs and a limited number of teams that have a legitimate chance to qualify each year. Not the potential good/great bowl match-ups that we saw prior to the BCA/BCS Era.

4. The ACC hasn't really improved its football image. If anything, a case could be made that FSU, Miami, and VT have regressed to the standard that seems to exist for most ACC schools in football instead of the other teams raising its game to their standards. At least that seems to be a big difference between the ACC and either the Big Ten and/or SEC.
