Exactly the fate of the ACC is w/ ESPN & ND. ND joins ESPN is happy w/ ACC.


The problem is their biggest donor alumni will not be unless joining a Conference is the only way to a National Championship. Consequently, the second I saw the 12 team playoff I knew if that went through the ACC is doomed like the B12.

ESPN is not doing that great financially, now they are going to pay 8 less teams out of the B12, but pay 2 considerably more to make it happen. That’s a gigantic win for them financially. They also are pushing hard for the 12 team playoff, knowing what it does for Notre Dame. Thus I think the playbook for them is already written. They want a handful of football schools to join the SEC and are okay if the basketball first schools go to Fox either in the B1G or Big East. What am I missing?
