I think all schools and conferences are talking. I think everyone is talking, but is anyone actually listening? I don't think anyone is listening. That is kind of normal in these moments. People are nervous, facing the unknown and do not want to be caught on the wrong of the door when it closes. All of that is natural, but we have seen this before. The changes that mattered happened before most knew it was happening and by the time everyone caught up, it was over except for the jabbering jawing.

If FSU and Clemson were headed out the door to the SEC they would have been part of the package with Texas and Oklahoma. The SEC is not stupid, they would drop their bomb and then go into damage control not still trying to put out the Big-12 fire and keep the ACC fire under wraps. That is crazy to even think they would try that.

FSU and Clemson have been unhappy along time because of the ACC view on football.

The SEC has what it wants - 16. It is not grabbing Ohio State and Michigan. Why would either of them come, they make MORE in the Big Ten right now and call the shots. Texas will find out how bad of a deal they made when they go to their first meeting - he he he.

I often wonder how much is enough. It seems there is no end to that question. You can only buy so many new facilities and pay so much for coaches. Surely, even the ACC pays its schools enough to handle the bills and run a great program.

Back in the day, VT and WVU lived on a measly 6 to 7 million dollars per year and played for titles. Now they both play for tens of millions and wring their hands thinking they are poor. I don't get it.

I was not a fan of any GOR especially the one the ACC instituted, but right now it is the one thing keeping the ACC sane and the Big-12 too. Thank God they are in place or this truly would be a nightmare with no rational outcome.
