All good. I'm excited about and into this stuff; but I'm not
seeing some giant untapped pool of new money ready to reshape the landscape. I don't think there is more money to be made; rather simply reallocating what is already there...maybe even saving a little.
I think many of us thought/said the Big 12 was dead the day the ACC inked with ND and the Big 12 would not survive beyond the GOR. And it looks like that is shaping up to be the case.
Meanwhile ESPN figured out how to unload its albatross, i.e., the LHN and pry OU away from Fox...good on them.
Is there really any more to this? Maybe I'm way off and will look like a fool; but I'm not sure there is.
Yeah, some teams need to find homes but the good ones will and maybe a couple others will shuffle around.
FWIW, wild card playoff spots are a great way to fend off anti-trust litigation..."this isn't a monopoly, if you are good enough, you can get in!"
