I don't think the CFP-12 plan hurts the ACC as much as others seem to think

While I'm not a big fan of the deal as a whole, I don't think it is a back breaker for the ACC.

1. Yes, it gives ND more certainly to have access to the playoff. But the other conferences didn't care about blocking ND's access anyway. And ND already had access in the 4-team system anyway. So while it is worse for the ACC, it is only marginally so.

2. The 12-team system may give the ACC a second school in the playoff. The rest of the ACC non-Clemson pack needs something to build to. This might be helpful to them.

But yeah. It is a bad look by the ACC to have ND out in front on this.
