I loved the Big East and was bummed that it broke up.

All to get Miami.

I grew up on Big East basketball. I also liked being in a round robin football conference playing a lot of schools that I grew up watching play Penn State here in my home in Pennsylvania. Sure, it wasn't the best conference, but it was ours, we worked hard to get in. Enjoyed playing Miami in their prime every year. We had a winning record against them. LOL. I used to root for the BE teams in bowls games, etc. While I have don't despise the ACC, I never felt that way about it.

And the way 2003 expansion was handled was awful. I think the ACC should have went big and just invited all the football schools en masse. I think the ACC would have been in much better position now. But who knows.
